1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Budgyo (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the UK/EU) to use the App.

3. Local Data Storage

All budgeting data is stored locally on your device. We do not store or access your personal or financial information.

4. Exported Data and Encryption

You may export your data and protect backup files with a password. Exported files are encrypted and can only be accessed using the password you choose.

You are solely responsible for:

• Secure storage of exported files
• Remembering your encryption password

We cannot recover lost passwords or decrypt exported files.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or disrupt the App
• Use the App in a way that harms others or interferes with the App's operation

6. No Financial Advice

Budgyo provides budgeting tools and information for general informational purposes only.

The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, trademarks, and design elements of the App are owned by Budgyo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not responsible for financial losses, inaccurate data, or budgeting decisions
• We are not liable for data loss due to device failure, deletion, forgotten passwords, corrupted backup files, or user error
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
